Rare woven Samurai Hat , Jingasa. Rare case when original's storage paper bag is still intact with name, address of the owner and date Keyo 2, 1866. Lacquer over beautifully patinated woven reed.
This type of hats were used by gunners and foot solders. With some expected abrasions due to a very significant age.
