Circa 1736-40, early Meissen period, crossed swords signature cobalt underglaze, relief shape number "16". CONDITION : very good, no repairs or damage, slight abrasions!

DIMENSIONS : diameter 23.8 cm / 9.05 inches ; height 3.3 cm / 1.18 inches. The painting refers to drawings from the botanical works of Wilhelm Weinmann Phytanthoza iconographia - usually done with a brush made of two badger hairs, giving a graphic effect, and the shading gives them a 3D three-dimensionality.
